About Cochrane 

The Town of Cochrane is over 120 years old, maintaining an entrepreneurial spirit and a sense of hospitality over the years. In the past 10 years, Cochrane’s population has grown by nearly 15,000 residents. Despite this growth, Cochrane is committed to sustaining a small-town charm, making it a community of choice for families and professionals relocating in or to the Calgary region. 

Cochrane is just 35 minutes northwest of downtown Calgary at the junction of Highway 1A and Highway 22. With immediate access highway access, Cochrane is just a 25-minute drive from the Calgary airport and a 75-minute drive from Banff.

Cochrane’s housing consists primarily of new developments, with some older, established residential neighbourhoods closer to the downtown core. Outside of town, there are acreages and ranches. Cochrane also has first-rate schools and recreational facilities to meet the needs of residents.
