April 22 | Centre Ave | Notice: Scheduled work Centre Ave - Anticipated Road Closures by ATCO Please be advised that on Monday, April 22, ATCO is scheduled to temporarily close both northbound lanes along Centre Ave, spanning from Powell to Hwy 1A. Additionally, intermittent closures will affect the intersections at William Street, Mountain Street, and the Mountain Street Alley. Access to and from the East End will be redirected to First Street East. During this period, traffic on Centre Ave will be redirected to utilize the southbound lanes, facilitating two-way traffic. The work zone will be flagger controlled. April 22: Haul Truck Operations Begin Crews will be hauling material across both the east and south legs of the detour roundabout and continue throughout the summer. Crossings will be flagger controlled. April 23: Historic Ranche Parking Lot Closure Vehicle access to Historic Ranche parking lot closed for utility construction Alternate Parking: Parents advised to park in front of the Alliance Church on Glenbow Drive and use the pathway to access the tri-schools. Pedestrians/cyclists will be accommodated through the work zone on a pathway detour. |
April 17-18, 2024 | Charlesworth Avenue | Notice of water main repair: April 17-18 As of 7:30 a.m. on April 17, Charlesworth Avenue will be reduced to a single-lane, alternating traffic on April 17-18 to complete repairs on water main infrastructure. If you have to travel through the area, please obey direction from flaggers on-site and drive with care. |
April 15-19, 2024 | Main Street from First Avenue to Fifth Avenue | Sidewalk Maintenance Crews will remove and replace deficient paving stones on both sides of main street from First Avenue to Fifth Avenue. Each repair will take place at one location at a time to minimize disruption to pedestrian traffic and Main Street businesses. |
March 23, 2024 | Hwy 1A & Fourth Avenue N | Road work Crews will be excavating the right-hand lane of Fourth Avenue North to complete repairs to the storm pipe. One lane of traffic will be closed on Fourth Avenue while this work is complete. Drive with caution, anticipate some delays and follow instruction from flaggers. |
