Indigenous Education Session - Blanket Exercise

Tuesday, June 19, 2018

Community Acts of Reconciliation The Blanket Exercise is an interactive learning experience that teaches the Indigenous rights history we're rarely taught. It covers over 500 years of history in a one and a half hour participatory workshop. This version has been adapted for Treaty 7. Join us and accept this call to action. Recommended for Adults and Youth ages 12yrs & up. Register: 403-851-2250 Note: Any media that attend are required to participate. There will be restrictions as to when people are allowed to take photos. Did you know the RCMP use the Blanket Exercise with all new cadets at their training centre in Saskatchewan? Did you know June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day in Canada and this date was chosen because it corresponds with the summer solstice?
