Council Committees & Appointments
Cochrane has thirteen committees of Council representing various civic interests and mandates. The definition of "committee" is all boards, commissions, committees, authorities, task forces and any other body established by Council (except Committee of the Whole). During the year vacancies become available on new as well as existing Council Committees and it is necessary to recruit Public At Large members. All vacancies are advertised in Municipal Matters.
Would you like to be involved in an advisory role on decisions impacting the Town? Then apply to sit on one of Council's committees/boards/task forces as a public at large member. To apply print and complete the Public At Large Application Form(PDF) to the left or complete the online application. You must be a citizen of Cochrane to be considered for a public at large appointment.
Assessment Review Board
Reviews property assessment appeals registered by Cochrane residents and businesses against their annual and/or supplementary assessments.
Cochrane Community Arts & Culture Committee
