Cochrane, AB – Applications for the new Cochrane Business Incubator will open on April 15, 2023. Cochrane Business Development is preparing to welcome ideation and pre-seed stage startups to Cochrane’s new purpose-built home for innovation, connection and business resources at The Station at Cochrane Crossing.

The Cochrane Business Incubator will provide dedicated space and programming for new businesses to learn and grow. Full-time founders of pre-seed startups and inspiring entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply to the program. Successful applicants will participate in a range of workshops and mentorship opportunities and access 24/7 office and boardroom resources, helping startups navigate the challenges of early-stage development, learn from other professionals and save on operational costs. The 12–24-month program will result in resilient local companies that thrive in our business community.

“From connecting with various incubators throughout Canada, we know that ideas can build momentum faster when the necessary resources are welcomed into a single point of connection,” says Mike Korman, Interim Director, Planning & Development Services, Town of Cochrane.  “The Station at Cochrane Crossing is Cochrane’s place to connect. As we work to diversify our local economy, nurturing our entrepreneurial climate is essential. The Incubator program is a pivotal initiative in this effort, providing aspiring entrepreneurs with the tools and resources they need to turn their ideas into prosperous businesses that drive innovation and fuel Cochrane’s economy and employment opportunities.”
