(Cochrane, AB) — On Wednesday September 7, the Town of Cochrane will install a new 3-way stop at the Grande Avenue and Railway Street intersection.

In anticipation of The Station at Cochrane Crossing completion in Fall 2022, a new 3-way stop will modify the traffic flow in the area to accommodate future traffic and provide a safe crossing for pedestrians.

“The Station at Cochrane Crossing will be a hub for transit, non-vehicular and pedestrian activity,” says Shane Hubl, Operation Services Director, Town of Cochrane. “The modification to the intersection will be made to enhance safety and allow traffic to move more easily on and off Railway Street.”

The 3-way stop will be enforced as of September 7, immediately following the completion of the sign installation and crosswalk painting. Drivers should look for signs in the area and be aware of the upcoming changes to traffic flow.
