The Rural Community Support Program provides rural residents, in West Rocky View County, direct access to free and confidential meetings offering:
Support and problem solving options,
Referrals and help navigating government systems.
If you or someone you know, has a problem and you're not sure what to do, please contact the Rural Community Support worker. Together, we can discuss solutions, options and first steps.
Rocky View County's 2010 Needs Assessment indicated that rural residents were willing to travel 20 to 25 minutes to access information and referral resources, but would prefer to access support and resources information in their own community. In response to that feedback, the Rural Community Support program was created in 2011. The position falls under Cochrane Family & Community Support Services (FCSS) with funding from Rocky View County FCSS.
