Victim Services Unit

Cochrane and Area Victim Services Unit (VSU) is a not-for-profit organization that provides crisis response, support and referral services to people who have experienced crime, tragedy and trauma. Additionally, Cochrane and Area VSU provides victims of crime with:

  • Court updates
  • Support
  • Preparation for court
  • Accompaniment to court
  • Information about victim rights
  • Information on available programs

Domestic violence support

If you, or someone you know, is experiencing domestic violence, reach out to any local police service for help at any time. Report an incident to the Cochrane RCMP by calling the 24-hour response number at 403-932-2211. School liaison

Cochrane RCMP has two officers who specialize in working with community youth and schools and act as a liaison between school administrators, parents and children. The school liaisons are able to  give school or classroom presentations as well as provide one-on-one education specializing in topics such as youth safety and drug and alcohol prevention.
