ELECTION WORKERS

The Town of Cochrane is conducting a vote of the electors on Monday, October 18, 2021; and voting officials are required for the day.  All voting officials must be available during the following times:

  • Training:        9:00 am – 12 noon, Friday October 8, 2021; and
  • Vote Day:        6:30 am to 8:30 pm, Monday October 18, 2021 

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in setting up the polling station;
  • Administering voter statements
  • Reviewing voter identification
  • Issuing ballots to qualified electors
  • Instructing electors on completing the ballot
  • Greeting electors 
  • Providing assistance to electors to cast their ballots
  • Operating the vote tabulator
  • Informing electors of any issues with their ballot, as indicated by the vote tabulator
  • Maintaining the polling station
  • Maintaining peace and order in the polling station
  • Assisting the Presiding Deputy Returning Officer (PDRO) as required
