Why do you need a Festival and Event Permit?

A Festival and Event application will identify when organized activities are planned in a park, road or venue so we can avoid scheduling conflicts and ensure groups who are organizing activities in public spaces have the appropriate insurance and licensing. 

Major event applications must be submitted a minimum six weeks in advance of the event date. The Community Events Administrator will help you with the permit process.

Public spaces are not sanitized and all outdoor events must comply with current AHS restrictions.

Recreation Field Bookings

In an effort to support Cochrane businesses, not-for-profit groups and individuals whose indoor programing has been impacted by COVID-19 closures, the Town is dedicating three outdoor spaces for recreational use.
We encourage all those who can adapt their programming to outdoor space to submit an application.
