Canada Day celebrations in Cochrane

Cochrane will be celebrating Canada Day bigger and better than ever this year as we commemorate our country’s 150th birthday!

This free family event is suited for all ages and interests.  New this year, the festivities will continue until dusk at which time the Canada 150 Fireworks display will light up the Cochrane sky at Mitford Park!  We are pleased to announce headlining act Barney Bentall & the Legendary Hearts and a bevy of talented Canadian musicians to perform on the Paul Daniels stage.  A special feature will close out the evening before fireworks with a glow-in-the-dark family friendly dance party including stage performers wearing LED costumes, stilt walkers and DJ Aviax.  Other activities include: a First Nation Ceremony and teepee raising, a Multicultural Area complete with interpretive displays/arts & crafts, the Cochrane FUN VAN, an amazing Kids Zone, the official unveiling of Cochrane's Canada 150 Mosaic, food trucks and much more!

Bring your family and be a part of what we have planned to celebrate Canada’s sesquicentennial.
