The Town of Cochrane implemented a new organizational structure, focused on strategic planning and decision-making, while delivering high-quality services to the community.
The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Dave Devana, initiated the restructuring with the support of Town Council.
The revised organizational structure reduces the Senior Management Team from six to four, by eliminating the Deputy CAO and Senior Manager of Community Services positions. The senior leadership team will report directly to the CAO.
“Streamlining the management structure will result in organizational efficiencies required to respond to the needs of a growing community of nearly 30,000 residents,” said CAO Dave Devana. “We would like to recognize the Town employees and their families who have been impacted by this week’s restructuring.”
The new structure will enable the Town to promote a strategic, innovative organization, while streamlining the customer experience and reducing administrative delays associated with inter-departmental approvals.
The new structure will result in an estimated annual net savings of $60,000 based on the 2020-2022 proposed budget.
