(Cochrane, AB) – Starting today, Cochrane Fire Services is launching a six-week campaign, reminding residents to, “Be Summer Safe.”
Running from July 18 to August 22, Cochrane will be sharing weekly tips and information on how residents can practice safety throughout the summer. The campaign covers topics such as grill and fire pit and water safety, fire bans, heat waves, adverse weather and other safety issues that may pose a risk over the summer months.
“As our community enjoys the warm weather and spending time outside, we want to remind residents to think twice and be safe,” says Fire Chief Polley, Town of Cochrane. “Summer safety goes beyond barbeques and firepits and we all have a role to play in creating a safe space.”
With summer comes a new set of potential risks and hazards and this campaign aims to help residents stay informed on how to make summer-safe decisions. Residents can find important information weekly on the Town of Cochrane social media pages in the following weeks.
