(Cochrane, AB) – Residents and businesses in the southern communities of Cochrane are under a temporary level 2 water restriction due to a water main break.
As a result of the water main break, there was a disruption of water service to homes in Riviera. Crews are completing necessary repairs to restore service.
While these repairs are underway, residents in the communities of Riviera, Riversong, Precedence, Rivercrest, River Heights, the Willows and Fireside are under a Level Two water restriction.
A Level Two water restriction prohibits most outdoor water use:
- Sprinkler use prohibited. Do not wash your vehicle, sidewalk, windows or siding.
- Residents can water flower beds and vegetable gardens by hand with a watering can or hose nozzle with trigger control.
This restriction will be lifted when the necessary repairs are completed.
