1. Who is required to pay a utility bill?

The person or company named on the utility invoice is the one financially responsible.

2. Do we need a water meter?

Yes, every serviced property in Cochrane must have a water meter (Bylaw 03/2009).

3. How is my utility bill calculated?

Your sewer bill is based on your water consumption. New properties that do not have a history of water consumption will be charged 80% of water used between April - September, and 100% of the water used between October - March. Water is based on consumption using a three-tier system.

4. How often do I receive a utility bill?

5. Can I receive my utility bill by email?

Yes, please use the Add / Change / Cancel Utility account form online.

6. What services are we paying for on the monthly utility bill?

7. Why is there an Eco Centre fee on my utility bill?

Every household is charged an Eco Centre fee to fund the maintenance and operation of the Cochrane Eco Centre.
