Know Your Customer, Grow Your Customers - from Business Link Explores simple forms of information that businesses can immediately start collecting about their customers, and how to use this information in decisions about marketing, operations, and product lines. Mark Shields is a Business Strategist, he approaches issues with a diverse background and wealth of experience. His business pursuits have included yoga instruction and event creation and promotion. He has studied accounting and history academically and sits as the treasurer for both the Major Minor Music Project and Calgary Can. Prior to joining Business Link, he helped plan, execute and operate the emergeHUB economic development project in east Calgary where he worked directly with growing businesses and was drawn to the problem-solving inherent in entrepreneurship. Mark is fundamentally motivated by the opportunity to build communities by facilitating interactions, which is an action at the heart of any business.
