(Cochrane, AB) – Nominations are now open for the 2025 Order of Cochrane, the highest honour that can be bestowed upon an individual by Cochrane Council.
Presented annually by Mayor and Council, the Order of Cochrane recognizes individuals whose exceptional leadership, dedication and vision have made a lasting and meaningful impact on the community.
“Cochrane is built on the dedication of people who care deeply about this community,” says Town of Cochrane Mayor, Morgan Nagel. “The Order of Cochrane recognizes individuals whose leadership and service have had a significant and lasting impact. I strongly encourage residents to put forward nominations for those whose contributions have helped shape Cochrane into the community it is today.”
Members of the public are invited to nominate deserving individuals by completing the online nomination form. Nominations should clearly outline how the nominee reflects Cochrane’s vision, demonstrates exceptional leadership and has made a significant contribution to the community’s long-term legacy. The nomination deadline is February 27, 2026.
The Order of Cochrane will be presented at a Cochrane volunteer appreciation ceremony later this April.
