Roads are designed to support the weight of heavy trucks — within reason. To maximize the life of a road and minimize road maintenance costs, we implement axle weight restrictions during the spring thaw period. Restricted roadways are marked with signs.

If you need to drive or park a vehicle (or combination of attached vehicles) that exceeds these weight restrictions, please apply for a street use permit.
