    Conference Information

This one-day Youth Conference is designed by youth and for youth to inspire resilience, connection and a sense of safety within the Cochrane community. Guided by a youth-focused lens, young people have actively shaped the themes, content and direction of the day to ensure the conference reflects their experiences, priorities and voices.

Throughout the conference, participants will engage in meaningful conversations, keynotes and interactive sessions centered on the key themes identified by local youth: safe and inclusive youth spaces, transportation challenges, mental health and well-being, youth engagement and belonging, employment opportunities and housing instability. These topics highlight the realities youth face in Cochrane and the areas they believe are most important for building a stronger, healthier community.

The goal of the conference focuses on building knowledge, confidence and connection. Participants will leave with an increased understanding of important issues, a stronger sense of civic efficacy and a deeper feeling of belonging within their community. By amplifying youth voices and offering space for learning, collaboration and empowerment, this conference aims to spark positive change while celebrating the leadership and resilience of Cochrane’s young people.
