The Cochrane Public Library is pleased to welcome the Ukrainian Association of Cochrane to celebrate Vyshyvanka Day. Traditionally observed on the third Thursday of May, this cultural celebration highlights the traditional Ukrainian embroidered shirt known as the vyshyvanka, a garment recognized for its artistry, symbolism, and long standing connection to Ukrainian identity.

This event offers our community an opportunity to learn about Ukrainian heritage and appreciate the beauty and significance of this enduring cultural art form. We are honoured to welcome the Ukrainian Association of Cochrane as they share this day with the community.

This program is open for all ages. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
