Residents and organizations may request to appear as a delegation before Council to present information, provide input, or make a request on matters within the Town of Cochrane’s jurisdiction. Delegations are intended for matters of broad interest within the municipality, including items of public concern, issues where Council guidance may help inform a solution, or opportunities to update Council on an endorsed community project, idea, or concept. All delegation requests are reviewed by Legislative Services to confirm eligibility and scheduling in accordance with the Town’s Procedural Bylaw.
Delegations are subject to the following time limits:
Individuals appearing as a delegation are permitted up to five (5) minutes to address Council.
Groups or organizations presenting as a delegation must select a spokesperson and are permitted up to ten (10) minutes to address Council.
