
(Cochrane, AB) – Following an extensive recruitment process, Administration is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Lisa Almond as the new Executive Director of Community & Protective Services.
With over two decades of social services experience Ms. Almond transitioned to Municipal Government over seven years ago. During her tenure with the Town of Cochrane, Ms. Almond has worked in nearly every section of the organization, including executive leadership roles in both Operations and Corporate Services. In her current role, Ms. Almond is the Director of Organizational Strategy and Culture, leading the Human Resources, Corporate Communications, Intergovernmental and Corporate Strategy teams.
Ms. Almonds’ extensive education includes a Bachelor of Commerce degree, adult psychology education as well as a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership. She has worked collaboratively on a variety of organizational projects touching on all areas of the municipality including a “Why Project” which focused on each department’s values and outcomes, as well as developing and implementing an organization wide Leadership Development series.

Ms. Almond will officially begin her new role on June 17, 2024.
