Cochrane Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) and the Family Resource Network (FRN), in collaboration with BGC Cochrane and Area, Helping Hands and The Clothesline, are proud to relaunch the Grad Glow Up initiative for the graduating class of 2026. This heartwarming program supports graduating high school seniors by helping them celebrate this milestone in style -regardless of financial barriers.
For many families, the cost of graduation attire can be overwhelming. Grad Glow Up helps reduce costs and support sustainability by offering students access to donated formal wear, including gowns, dresses, suits, and dress shirts. The initiative ensures every graduate has the opportunity to shine with confidence on their special night.
“Grad Glow Up is about more than just clothing - it’s about dignity, inclusion, and celebrating every student’s success,” says Kim Krawec, Manager of Family and Community Support Services for the Town of Cochrane. “Thanks to our incredible partners and the generosity of our community, this program continues to make a meaningful difference for local youth.”
Community members are encouraged to donate clean, gently used formalwear at The Clothesline, Helping Hands Store, and FCSS. The program is also seeking support from local businesses—barbers, salons, tailors, and service providers—to donate gift cards or services to help create a memorable graduation experience for students.
The 2025 Grad Glow Up event will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Cochrane RancheHouse, where students will be paired with a Glow Up Guide to help them select the perfect outfit. Registration opened September 15, 2025.
