Dan Kroffat awarded 2022 Order of Cochrane

2022 Order of Cochrane - Dan Kroffat and Council

During this evenings’ regular Council Meeting, Council awarded and celebrated Dan Kroffat as the recipient of the esteemed 2022 Order of Cochrane.

The Order of Cochrane award, presented annually, celebrates individuals whose commitment, vision and leadership have left an indelible mark on the Cochrane community. Nominees for this esteemed recognition are put forward by community members and are selected by Cochrane Council through secret ballot.

Dan Kroffat emerged as this year's distinguished recipient, applauded for his remarkable contributions across the community. His tireless dedication and exceptional ability to forge collaborative relationships for the betterment of Cochrane were consistently highlighted by nominators.

“Dan truly embodies the spirit of Cochrane. His dedication, enthusiasm, and relentless drive to better our community are inspiring,” said Mayor Genung. “We deeply appreciate Dan’s remarkable efforts and selfless commitment to our community.”

In addition to Dan's nomination, four other deserving community members were nominated, including:

  • Robert Hatch
  • Stephenie Shelstad
  • Renee Delwisch
  • Councillor Marni Fedeyko

Starting next week (February 20th), the community will be invited to submit nominations for the 2023 Order of Cochrane.
