Cochrane, AB – In support of Cochrane’s bid for Kraft Hockeyville, Council recognized March 25-30, 2024 as Hockey Week in Cochrane.
Cochrane is proud to have been selected as a final top four community competing to win the grand prize of $250,000 and the opportunity to host an NHL pre-season game. The prize funds would be used towards upgrades of Cochrane Arena, or the ‘Old Barn’, which turns 50 years old this year.
This is a competition grounded in fun and community building, and to that end Cochrane is already a winner. The community has come together to celebrate what hockey means to them and in support of a shared goal – to win Kraft Hockeyville 2024. Cochrane is asking all Albertans to rally behind the community and bring the honour back to Alberta for the second time!
Get involved:
- Wear your favourite hockey attire.
- Take some fun photos or videos and tag Kraft Hockeyville (#krafthockeyville).
- Join the Community Rally on Thursday, March 28th from 4:30 - 7:00 PM at the Cochrane Arena.
- And most importantly – register to vote! Voting is open to anyone aged 14 and over and voting is unlimited.
