(Cochrane, AB) – The nomination period is officially open for candidates interested in running in Cochrane’s next General Municipal Election on October 20, 2025. Eligible individuals can file their nomination papers to run for the positions of Mayor or Councillor.
To become a candidate, you must complete the Nomination Paper and Candidate’s Acceptance (Form 4), which includes signatures from at least five eligible electors supporting your nomination, Candidate Financial information (Form 5), along with the required Criminal Record Check. The completed forms must be filed in person with the Returning Officer, or designate, at the Cochrane RancheHouse during the Town's hours of operation by noon on Nomination Day, September 22, 2025.
