Tips for a sustainable holiday season
Residents are encouraged to explore simple ways to minimize waste and properly sort materials at cochrane.ca/localinfo.
“We’ve compiled easy suggestions for residents, like shopping locally to support the community while reducing packaging and shipping and choosing experiential gifts like event tickets or memberships to reduce waste,” says Shane Hubl, Director of Operations Services, Town of Cochrane. “Small actions, like using reusable fabric bags for gift wrapping, can make a big difference in minimizing landfill contributions.”
Cochrane residents can make a positive impact this holiday season by reducing waste and sorting responsibly. The My Cochrane Collection app can help residents track schedules and sort materials correctly. Every small effort contributes to a more sustainable community.
Residents are encouraged to stay informed, stay green and enjoy a wonderful holiday season in Cochrane!
