(Cochrane, AB) – State of Cochrane is returning for 2026, inviting residents for an evening of conversation and connection to learn about what’s next for Cochrane.
On Thursday, September 10, residents can hear directly from Council, Mayor Nagel and Town Administration about the work underway, what’s coming next and what it means for the community at the 2026 State of Cochrane. The event will take place at the Lions Event Centre from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
“Council has a clear vision for Cochrane: a community where people can spend less time in traffic, have more opportunities to get out and enjoy our parks and recreation facilities and have the infrastructure and services they need close to home,” says Mayor Morgan Nagel. “We’re excited about where Cochrane is headed and the work underway to make that vision a reality. This event is an opportunity for residents to see what that could mean for their everyday lives, talk with us about what’s coming next and be part of the conversation.”
The event will be broken up into two styles of connection – starting with a short address about the future of Cochrane, followed by an interactive session where residents can speak directly to Mayor, Council and Administration on specific topics.
During the event, residents can connect one-on-one with Mayor, Council and senior Administration, learn more about the vision guiding Cochrane’s future, and explore the priorities underway to bring that vision to life. There will also be opportunities to ask questions and learn more about the work happening across the organization—all while enjoying complimentary refreshments in a family-friendly space.
