The Town of Cochrane has opened an interim intake for Community Grants, inviting local organizations and youth to apply for remaining 2025 funding that supports projects strengthening connection, creativity and community well-being.
This interim intake provides an additional opportunity for groups and individuals to bring forward initiatives that celebrate Cochrane’s community spirit and enhance the quality of life for residents. Through the Community Grants Program, the Town continues to invest in ideas that inspire participation, inclusion and a stronger sense of belonging.
“Cochrane is full of passionate, community-minded people, and these grants help bring their ideas to life,” said Michelle Ambrose, Director of Parks & Active Living. “Whether it’s a youth-led project, a community program, or a group looking to build capacity, this funding is one of the ways we support the incredible work happening across our community.”
The program offers funding through four categories:
- Community Projects Grants – Supports community-led capital or program initiatives that enhance participation, inclusion, accessibility or community sustainability.
- Community Organization Support Grants – Helps local groups with foundational needs such as training, equipment, insurance or tools that strengthen their ability to operate and serve residents.
- Community Operational Grants – Provides support for ongoing programs and services that deliver direct benefits to Cochrane residents.
- Youth Innovation & Engagement Grants – Funds youth-led ideas, activities and projects that build leadership, creativity and community involvement.
The first round of application evaluations will begin December 1, 2025. If funding remains, a second round will begin December 15, 2025, continuing until the remaining 2025 budget is fully allocated.
