(Cochrane, AB) – The Town of Cochrane is inviting local organizations and residents alike to take part in its first-ever Cochrane Volunteer Fair, a new community event designed to strengthen local connections, support non-profit organizations, and celebrate the power of volunteerism in Cochrane.
Hosted at the Cochrane RancheHouse on April 11, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Cochrane Volunteer Fair will bring together non-profit and community organizations in need of volunteer support with residents who are interested in giving back. Volunteers are encouraged to attend, whether they have a few hours a year or are looking for a long-term commitment.
For community organizations, the Volunteer Fair offers a valuable opportunity to connect face-to-face with residents who are actively looking to volunteer. Organizations can share their mission, highlight current volunteer needs and recruit support from people who care about making a difference locally. Organizations are encouraged to book a free booth by March 27, but space is limited so the Town recommends booking in soon.
For residents, the Volunteer Fair makes it easy to explore a wide range of volunteer opportunities all in one place. Attendees can learn how their time, skills, and interests can support causes they care about — from one-time events to ongoing roles. No matter your availability or experience, there is a volunteer opportunity for you.
“Volunteers are at the heart of a strong, connected community,” says Michelle Ambrose, Director of Parks & Active Living, Community Services at the Town of Cochrane. “This event is about bringing people together, helping organizations find the support they need and helping residents discover meaningful ways to give back that fit their lives.”
The Volunteer Fair is free to attend, with snacks, beverages, and prize draws available for all attendees to enjoy.
Organizations interested in booking a booth and residents interested in attending can find more information at cochrane.ca/volunteerfair.
