The Town of Cochrane is making it easier and more convenient for residents to pay bylaw tickets with the introduction of a new QR code payment option.
As of March 27, 2026, all bylaw tickets issued by Community Peace Officers include a unique QR code that connects directly to the Town’s secure online payment system. Residents can scan the code using a smartphone to complete payment quickly and without the need to visit a Town facility or call during business hours.
This enhancement provides flexibility and removes barriers associated with traditional payment methods, supporting how residents expect to access services today.
“We are focused on delivering services that are accessible and convenient for our community,” said Flynn Scott, Manager, Municipal Enforcement. “This option gives residents a simple and secure way to make payments on their own time.”
The online system supports major credit cards and is designed to be straightforward and easy to use, helping save time for residents.
Residents who prefer traditional payment methods can continue to pay in person at Ranchehouse or The Station or by mail.
This improvement supports the Town’s commitment to modern service delivery and enhancing the overall resident experience while improving efficiency across services.
