(Cochrane, AB) – Residents are invited to kick off Stampede season at the Town of Cochrane’s first annual Stampede Breakfast, taking place at The Station on Monday, July 6, from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m.
The free community event will feature a complimentary pancake breakfast served by Mayor and Council, with support from the Cochrane Lions Club. This event provides an opportunity for residents and visitors to connect with neighbours while celebrating Cochrane’s western heritage. Attendees can also enjoy a unique custom branding experience hosted by the Stockmen’s Memorial Foundation, adding an authentic western touch to the morning.
"Our western heritage is an important part of Cochrane’s identity, and this event is a great way to celebrate those roots while bringing our community together," says Town of Cochrane Mayor, Morgan Nagel. "Council and I are looking forward to connecting with residents and visitors, and we hope this event becomes a cherished annual tradition."
To help residents get to and from the event on July 6, COLT Transit is offering complimentary service throughout the day. Those using the on-demand service can book their free ride using the code "STAMPEDE". Alternatively, those looking to drive, can find conveniently located parking across from The Station and throughout Historic Downtown.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation in support of the Cochrane Food Bank.
