Critical Pathway Connection Big Hill Creek / Highway 1A/22 Interchange

Project description

The Critical Pathway Connection will complete a key missing pathway connection between Heartland and downtown Cochrane. As part of this work, a new pathway will be constructed beneath the CP Rail crossing and Highway 1A bridge over Big Hill Creek, creating a safer and more direct route for pedestrians and cyclists. While design work is currently underway, construction is anticipated to begin in 2027. Until then, the pathway remains incomplete, and residents are reminded to use only designated railway crossings.
