(Cochrane, AB) – Keeping up with Town news, projects and opportunities is about get easier for Cochrane residents.
The Town of Cochrane is launching The Town Roundup, a new monthly e-newsletter designed to bring residents the latest Town news, project updates, community opportunities and important reminders — all in one place, directly to their inbox.
The first edition of The Town Roundup will be delivered on August 24, with future editions arriving monthly to help residents stay informed about the issues, services and opportunities that matter most to them.
Residents look for and receive information in different ways, from social media and local newspapers to the Town’s website and Cochrane app. The Town has also seen strong engagement with email communications for specific projects, including more than a 90 per cent open rate for communications related to the Glenpatrick project. The Town Roundup builds on that experience by providing another way for the Town to share news, updates and opportunities with residents on a regular basis, helping to ensure information reaches people through the channels that work best for them.
“We’re continually looking for ways to enhance how we communicate with Cochrane residents and expand the ways they can receive information from the Town,” says Kristin Huybrecht, Manager of Corporate Communications, Town of Cochrane. “We’ve seen through project-specific communications that email can be an effective way to reach residents, and The Town Roundup gives us an opportunity to build on that and provide regular Town updates directly to residents’ inboxes.”
Each edition will feature information about Town projects and programs, community news, events, service updates and seasonal reminders. The newsletter will also highlight upcoming initiatives and opportunities to provide feedback on projects and decisions that shape the community.
The Town Roundup is intended to complement the Town’s existing communication channels, providing residents with another option for receiving Town information. It is part of the Town’s ongoing commitment to strengthening how it communicates with residents and ensuring information is available through a range of channels.
Residents are encouraged to subscribe before August 24 to ensure they receive the inaugural edition.
