    Event details
Not all conversations are easy - we've all walked away from a heated or emotional exchange wondering how we could have handled it differently. Join us for a morning workshop where you’ll have the opportunity to learn the best way to deeply listen to others and have effective conversations on difficult topics. Polarizing topics can make conversations difficult and often confrontational. Although the facts are important, research shows us that stories and conversations are much more effective.

The workshop will include demonstrations of effective strategies for achieving effective conversations on difficult topics from all spaces, including the environment and climate change. Participants will practice deep listening and learn how to diffuse situations.

SPEAKER: Jennifer Janzen is the Executive Director of Alberta Tomorrow, a registered charity that delivers a platform that empowers youth to design and sustain a future for our shared ecosystem. Alberta Tomorrow has been recognized by the Alberta Emerald Foundation for its impact on sustainability education, emphasizing its role in fostering awareness and the understanding of responsible land use and environmental stewardship.

These sessions are free to attend but registration is requested so we can plan accordingly. Please register at the Eventbrite link provided below.
