Celebrate Canada Day in Cochrane
Kick off Canada Day at the Cochrane Legion with a pancake breakfast and a morning of community connection before continuing the celebration at Mitford Park for a full day of music, activities and fireworks.
Start your morning with breakfast, connect with neighbours and join us for the Canada Day flag-raising ceremony at 11:30 a.m. Mayor Morgan Nagel and members of Cochrane Council will be on site flipping pancakes and joining in the festivities.

🥞 Pancake Breakfast
Enjoy a classic Canada Day breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon.
$3 for adults | $2 for children (6–12) | Free for children under 6
🚩Flag-Raising Ceremony | 11:30 a.m.
Join local cadets and the Ladies Auxiliary for the ceremonial raising of the Canadian flag, along with a performance of O Canada and remarks from Mayor Morgan Nagel.
Continue the celebration at Mitford Park
From 12 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. | Mitford Park
Head to Mitford Park for an afternoon and evening filled with entertainment, activities and community spirit.
Enjoy a free, family-friendly event featuring:
- Live music throughout the day, leading up to a headline performance
- Activities and entertainment for all ages
- Local food trucks and vendors
- A licensed beer garden
- A fireworks finale to close out the night

Getting there
Mitford Park is expected to be busy. There is no on-site parking, so plan ahead and consider walking, biking, or taking advantage of the free shuttle service.
All town shuttles will depart designated pick-up and drop-off locations approximately every 60 minutes starting with:
Stop A at 11:30 a.m.
Stop B at 11:40 a.m.

All shuttles depart Mitford Park at the top of each hour starting at Noon with the last shuttle departing Mitford Park at 11:30 p.m. (or just after the fireworks)
All shuttles are free.
Fireworks fallout zone
For public safety, this area will be closed to all pedestrian and vehicle access before and during the fireworks display. Please obey all signage and directions from event staff.
