A Night with the Stars is back!

Join us for our third annual A Night with the Stars program, in partnership with The Calgary Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada and Wazin Îchinabi Ti.

The Calgary Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada will be bringing the stars and more back to Cochrane! Join us for Indigenous storytelling, and informative presentations on the wonders of the night sky, including solar & nighttime telescope viewing. Travel through space and explore the stars with the indoor planetarium and take part in activities that are out of this world!

Dress for the weather as part of this program will take place outdoors.

In partnership with The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada - Calgary Centre and Wazin Îchinabi Ti

This session with dr. linda manyguns delves into a crucial period of change for Indigenous peoples between 1860 and the early 1900s. Uncover the stories behind population changes, the introduction of agriculture, and the complex process of treaty signings that dramatically altered the landscape and lives of Indigenous communities.

This program is part of the "Unpacking the Past, Understanding the Present" series by dr. linda manyguns and is made possible by an ethnocultural grant provided by the Government of Alberta. This series will take place on the eighth of each month from June to October.

Water accumulating on the street? 

You may be located near a trap low. Trap lows are a part of the stormwater storage system, allowing water to pool on roads, lanes and in greenspaces.

It may appear that the street is flooding up to and, sometimes, including some of your driveway or lawn. It is not.

If the water does not drain within 24 hours after rainfall, please contact Cochrane Operations at 403-851-2590.
