Join us for a scenic bike ride as we pedal together in support of mental health awareness. Enjoy the fresh air and beautiful riverside while raising awareness for an important cause. Let's break the stigma surrounding mental health and promote well-being through exercise and community support. The ride will be on a paved pathway. Growth management strategy

The Town of Cochrane Growth Management Strategy is a non-statutory planning document that aligns other plans, policies and strategies for the orderly and appropriate growth of Cochrane, as identified in the visions and objectives of the Cochrane Sustainability Plan and Municipal Development Plan.

The Growth Management Strategy answers four critical questions:

  1. How much land is required to accommodate growth?
  2. What are the infrastructure requirements to accommodate the projected growth?
  3. Does the land supply match the demand over the next 50 years?
  4. What growth management initiatives are required to achieve the Town’s overall goals and future vision?

Water accumulating on the street? 

You may be located near a trap low. Trap lows are a part of the stormwater storage system, allowing water to pool on roads, lanes and in greenspaces.

It may appear that the street is flooding up to and, sometimes, including some of your driveway or lawn. It is not.

If the water does not drain within 24 hours after rainfall, please contact Cochrane Operations at 403-851-2590.
