Cochrane Growth Study

The Town of Cochrane (the Town) has experienced significant growth over the past couple of decades. The Growth Study is an important document that is intended help Council, administration, and community members understand how the Town is positioned to accommodate anticipated future growth over the next 25 years. 

With a strong understanding of what growth should look like in the Town until 2047, Council and administration are able to make thoughtful decisions about infrastructure investments, planning policy, economic development, community amenities, and environmental conservation.

Cochrane's snow and ice control program help keep Cochrane roads safe and passable, prioritizing emergency routes first.

Water accumulating on the street? 

You may be located near a trap low. Trap lows are a part of the stormwater storage system, allowing water to pool on roads, lanes and in greenspaces.

It may appear that the street is flooding up to and, sometimes, including some of your driveway or lawn. It is not.

If the water does not drain within 24 hours after rainfall, please contact Cochrane Operations at 403-851-2590.
