Access to Information

To submit a request for information, complete the application below. Please note there is a $25 request fee. You may contact the Access to Information office at ATI@cochrane.ca or 403-932-2674 before submitting your request as we may be able to assist you in determining whether the information you're seeking is publicly available without an ATI request.

Property Information Requests

Registered owners can access their property information without going through an Access to Information request. Please complete the form through the Planning Department.

If you are not the registered owner, you must provide the property owner's written authorization to access the information.

The Town of Cochrane provides weekly updates to current and past Access to Information requests. The number and type of requests can be found below. 

There are several key activities involved with processing information requests. The number of pages released is not a reflection of the staff resources, consultations, volume of records or time required to respond. 

Legislated statistics for access to information requests are reported to the Government of Alberta for the period April 1st to March 31st each year.  As of April 1, 2025, the statistics released within this page coincide with that schedule.

The Town complies with the Province of Alberta requirements to provide statistics on ATI applications filed with the Town beginning April 1st and ending March 31st.
