We are thrilled to announce the start of a brand new, monthly Adult D&D Club this fall at the Cochrane Public Library! This program is a perfect opportunity for both new and experienced players to explore fantastic worlds, create unforgettable characters, and test their skills with fellow adventurers.

Registration for this program will open at 10:30am on Saturday, August 23, 2025.

To help us grow and welcome more players, we are currently seeking additional Dungeon Masters. If you are interested in running a campaign, please contact us at programs@cochranepubliclibrary.ca to get involved. Join us as we roll the dice and begin a new adventure together!

Are you a fan of The Hunger Games series and can’t wait for the new book, or have you never read the series but always wanted to? Now’s your chance! Read the whole series with us before the new book comes out!

Every three weeks we will be discussing one of The Hunger Games books in order of release.

This program is for all ages, but you have to be older than 12 to participate.

If you need a book, we will have copies set aside that you will be able to borrow with your library card. You can register for this program on the Cochrane Public Library website.

To celebrate the release of Sunrise on the Reaping on March 18th, we are hosting a week long movie marathon of The Hunger Games series!

Join us throughout the week for the each of the Hunger Games movies, and each day you will have the chance to enter your name into a draw for a chance to win the newest Hunger Games book, Sunrise on the Reaping! This prize will also contain some other Hunger Games goodies.

Water accumulating on the street? 

You may be located near a trap low. Trap lows are a part of the stormwater storage system, allowing water to pool on roads, lanes and in greenspaces.

It may appear that the street is flooding up to and, sometimes, including some of your driveway or lawn. It is not.

If the water does not drain within 24 hours after rainfall, please contact Cochrane Operations at 403-851-2590.
