Town of Cochrane Community Peace Officer receives Provincial-wide Leadership Award

Community Peace Officer Samantha Casselton has received the 2026 Alberta Municipal Enforcement Association (AMEA) Leadership Award, recognizing her outstanding leadership, professionalism and commitment to community safety within municipal enforcement across Alberta.

Presented during the AMEA Conference in Red Deer on April 29, the award honours municipal enforcement professionals who demonstrate excellence in leadership, mentorship and public service while making a meaningful impact within their organizations and communities.

Protective Services Manager Flynn Scott presented the award on behalf of the AMEA Board and says Casselton’s leadership and dedication continue to have a positive impact throughout both the organization and the community.

“Samantha leads with professionalism, integrity and a genuine commitment to the Cochrane community,” says Flynn Scott, Manager, Municipal Enforcement for the Town of Cochrane. “She consistently goes above and beyond in her service to residents, while supporting her colleagues and building strong relationships throughout the community. This recognition reflects the impact she has across the organization and the community every day, and we are incredibly proud to see her leadership acknowledged at the provincial level.”

Through her work with residents, businesses and community partners, Casselton continues to foster positive relationships and support proactive community safety initiatives throughout Cochrane. Her approachable leadership style, commitment to public service and ability to build strong connections within the community have made her a respected member of the Town’s Protective Services team.

Casselton’s recognition reflects not only her individual contributions, but also the professionalism, collaboration and high standard of service demonstrated by the Town of Cochrane’s Community Peace Officer team in supporting a safe and connected community.
