Town of Cochrane recognizes RCMP Inspector Dave Brunner on his retirement

(Cochrane, AB) –The Town of Cochrane recognizes Cochrane RCMP Inspector, Dave Brunner on his retirement, following a distinguished 35-year career with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Appointed Inspector of the Cochrane RCMP Detachment, Brunner demonstrated a strong commitment to public safety, while working collaboratively with the Town, community organizations and residents. 

"I want to sincerely thank Inspector Brunner for his dedicated service to our community," says Town of Cochrane Mayor, Morgan Nagel. "Throughout his tenure, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership, professionalism and a commitment to working with community partners to help keep Cochrane a safe and welcoming place to live and enjoy. We are grateful for his many years of service and wish him all the best in this next chapter."

Inspector Brunner's retirement marks the conclusion of an accomplished policing career spanning more than three decades, during which he served communities across Alberta and built a reputation for collaborative, community-focused leadership.

In the interim, Staff Sergeant Chad Fournier will serve as the Officer in Charge until the Inspector position is filled. During this time, he will oversee policing operations for the Town of Cochrane and surrounding area.
