All (RESIDENT ONLY) commercial and retail businesses require a fire inspection ($50+GST fee applies and will be invoiced following inspection). The business licence will not be issued until a fire inspection is passed. Home-based businesses DO NOT require a fire inspection.

All businesses serving or handling food, drink or chemicals require a health inspection. Please contact Alberta Health Services at 1-833-476-4743 to ensure you meet their requirements and to schedule your health inspection.

This licence does not authorize or permit me or my business to carry on a business or any pursuit contrary to the provisions of other Town of Cochrane bylaws. Where a person or business is found to be in contravention to any of the provisions of this or any other Municipal Bylaw, Municipal Enforcement officers may temporarily suspend the business until such time as the contravention is rectified.
