Tim Bannister Memorial Rink - CLOSED
The Tim Bannister Memorial outdoor rink in the East End is maintained by Parks staff. The rink is kept accessible to hockey players and pleasure skaters of all ages by following one simple rule: share the ice! The rink is lit.
Mitford Pond skating surface - CLOSED
Mitford Pond turns into a winter wonderland once the ponds freeze over. The pond can be used by hockey and pleasure skaters. There is lighting until 10pm and a firepit where you can bring in your own firewood to warm up with.
Sports fields and courts
Baseball
Cochrane has over a dozen ball diamonds available for a quick informal game if the diamond is open or can be booked by teams and leagues throughout the season. Currently, there are three youth and adult leagues using the diamonds on a regular basis.
Soccer, rugby, field hockey, and more
Cochrane has several sports fields that are ideal for organized sports as well as an impromptu game when not booked. There are three leagues and multiple user groups who currently book these fields throughout the season.
Tennis & Pickleball - Closed
- CLOSED - William Camden Courts for the remainder of the season due to area construction.
- TENNIS ONLY - Quigley multi-use courts (East end) will be closed on October 15. First Come First Serve (FCFS)- no bookings
- PICKLEBALL - Quigley Pickleball Courts will be closed for the season on October 15,
- Mon - Fri 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 pm, Sat 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sun 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. are all FCFS - no bookings
Cochrane has:
- two dedicated tennis courts at William Camden Park in Glenbow (July 2024 Closed for the season)
- four dedicated pickleball courts at the Quigley courts in the East End, and
- two multi-user courts with lines for both tennis and pickleball at the Quigley courts in the East End. (July 2024 only Tennis permitted for rest of season)

Other outdoor facilities
Disc Golf Course
Located at Riverfront Park in a beautiful riverside setting, the nine-hole course is fun for the whole family! The course, which features upgraded baskets and plenty of interesting holes, is free to use and open seven days a week.
Zero Gravity Skatepark
Cochrane’s Zero Gravity Skatepark features a 427 square meter plaza and modern bowl unit in a pristine hillside setting overlooking the river valley.
