Cochrane has started a new way for local not-for-profit groups, school classrooms or teams to earn a cash reward by signing up to be a Bounty Hunter for the Thistle Bounty program. Groups can earn $300 to go towards their program for equipment, supplies or other items that they would typically need to fundraise for. They will target thistle and other invasive weeds, helping to restore natural areas and reduce the amount of pesticides that are a sprayed.
2026 Date & Location: September 10th, 10am-12pm. Riviera Park space and pathway along the Bow river.
