You’ll be barking mad if you miss the Cochrane Pet Expo!

Enjoy a fun-filled day with all things animals at the Cochrane & District Agricultural Society Park, presented by Global Pet Foods Cochrane.

Fun-goers to this year’s event can take in learning opportunities, get their pet portraits taken, shake their tail feathers at in-person demos, and wolf down some tasty treats from food trucks. Delight in family-friendly activities such as face painting, petting zoo, and more!

Exciting vendors will also showcase the latest pet products, such as food, clothing and unique accessories to make your non-human bestie stand out from the pack!

Mark your calendars and bring the whole family! Bring puppy along too – just make sure they are on a leash!

About the Committee

The Cochrane Planning Commission (CPC) is a committee appointed by Town Council. The CPC acts as the Approving Authority on development and subdivision matters as permitted by the Land Use Bylaw and may respond to any planning-related requests from Council. Meetings are open to the public but they are not public hearings. 

The Cochrane Planning Commission meets the third Wednesday of every month at 6:30pm.

To report a problem on noise, parking, lost or found pets, sidewalk snow or ice removal,  traffic complaints or unsightly premise, please complete Municipal Enforcement Request. 

For water related emergencies, please call the Operations After-hours Requests line at 403-851-2590.
Cochrane's snow and ice control program help keep Cochrane roads safe and passable, prioritizing emergency routes first.

Water accumulating on the street? 

You may be located near a trap low. Trap lows are a part of the stormwater storage system, allowing water to pool on roads, lanes and in greenspaces.

It may appear that the street is flooding up to and, sometimes, including some of your driveway or lawn. It is not.

If the water does not drain within 24 hours after rainfall, please contact Cochrane Operations at 403-851-2590.
