Gang Workshop
Monday, December 6, 2021
The program is a realistic, no-holds-barred look at why gangs form and the social conditions that allow them to prosper and thrive. It will examine gang activity from a business model and show participants how gang activity is adapting to the times and utilizing technology to recruit, intimidate and sell the products they push (drugs, sex-trafficking). We will look at the four pillars of gang dissident (Prevention, Early Intervention, Suppression and Re-integration. The program is structured to help participants identify youth at risk for recruitment as well as who is already affiliated. Kerry encourages all participants to bring any questions they have as it will be an open discussion along with the program.
