Annual animal licence renewals available now

pet licence renewal

Cochrane, AB – Annual renewal notices for up-to-date animal licence accounts have been mailed or emailed to Cochrane pet owners this month. Registered owners can complete their renewal online at Cochrane.ca/eservices or in person at The Station at Cochrane Crossing or the Cochrane RancheHouse.

In Cochrane, the Animal Bylaw 04/2016 requires all dogs and cats over the age of three months to be licenced. Renewed annually, animal licensing is an important part of responsible pet ownership.

“Animal licences not only enable Animal Services to swiftly reconnect you with your beloved pet in the case they go missing, but also signals to others that your furry companion is cherished and belongs to a loving home, fostering a community of care and responsibility," says Stacey Loe, Executive Director of Corporate Services.

Pet owners can renew their licence or register a new licence online using Cochrane’s eServices portal. Any unpaid animal licences will be discontinued on March 8, 2024.

For more information on registration, renewals, payment methods, due dates or to opt in for email notifications, please visit Cochrane.ca/animalservices.

Applicable residents who have not received their animal licence renewal notice are asked to contact 403-851-2528.
