Cochrane Connect Card is formerly known as Access Card 

Improving access to affordable transportation, recreation and services

The Cochrane Connect Card is an initiative that contributes to the overall wellbeing of Cochrane and Area residents. The card allows lower income individuals and families access to a variety of services and programs at a reduced rate.  

Information for Residents

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PROGRAM?

Eligibility is based on your income. You will be asked to provide the following: 

  • Proof of income for all adult household members: eg. Canada Revenue Notice of Assessment (with line 150), Income Support. 
  • Proof of address within the Town of Cochrane and surrounding area: mortgage agreement, lease agreement or current bill showing name & address (date within 3 months).

HOW DO I APPLY FOR THE PROGRAM?

  • Call to book an appointment with a Resource Worker:
  • If you have children aged 0-18, call Cochrane and Area Family Resource Network (FRN) at 403-851-2265.

  • If you are an individual, family with children 18+, older adult or rural resident call Cochrane Family & Community Support Services (FCSS) at 403-851-2250.

  • TO RE-APPLY: You must provide a Notice of Assessment from your previous year's tax return. (If you need assistance with tax preparation, you can inquire about our Volunteer Tax Program. Residents who have low income and simple tax situations are eligible.)

  • Each business/organization will determine what discount they are able and willing to provide
  • Eligibility determines what level you qualify for

Cochrane Connect Card Partnership Program

Be a part of the the Cochrane Connect Card and provide qualified applicants increased access to affordable transportation, recreation and services.  The program is available for local businesses who go above and beyond to offer products and services to a segment of the population who may currently be unable to afford them.
